Kayaking
Kayaking in Santiago del Teide is a different way to explore the coast of Tenerife. Along the route, you sail under the shelter of the Cliffs of Los Gigantes, a geological formation with vertical walls over 600 metres high and one of the most unique landscapes in the Canary Islands.
Thanks to the stable climate throughout the year, the sea in this area offers ideal conditions for activities in direct contact with nature, under a responsible and careful approach to the marine environment. The crossings take place in an area of high ecological value, where priority is given to the conservation of the coastal ecosystem and the safety of those who enjoy it.
This experience can be done independently or by booking an outing with specialised companies in the destination. In addition, adaptive kayaking offers the possibility of enjoying this experience in an inclusive way, as it is available for different types of disabilities.

Ethical Tourism
Enjoy the activity responsibly and respectfully
- It is not permitted to leave waste in the sea or on the coast. Everything you take with you must return with you.
- We recommend using biodegradable sunscreen and reducing the use of single-use plastics.
- Maintain a safe distance from other vessels and adhere to navigation rules.
- If you are practising the activity on your own, find out about sea conditions and weather forecasts beforehand.
- If you see marine wildlife along the route, observe it from a distance without invading its space.
- Avoid breakwater areas and caves. These are unstable environments and can pose a risk.
- Remember that you are in a natural area of great ecological value. Taking care of it is also part of the experience.
