Los Guíos
Beach
With its black sand, Los Guíos Beach is one of the most iconic beaches in Santiago del Teide. Nestled in the shelter of the majestic Cliffs of Los Gigantes, it offers unparalleled views of this unique natural environment.
Here, everyone can enjoy the sea on equal terms, with adapted access, walkways, showers, and amphibious chairs for assisted bathing, making it a safe and comfortable option for people with reduced mobility.
This beach has been awarded the Q for Tourism Quality, a distinction that certifies excellence in services, safety, and visitor care. In addition, it has the EMAS environmental management system and ISO 14001 certification, which endorse its commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment. Together with La Arena Beach, these are the only beaches in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife that have received all these distinctions, reflecting an exemplary management model focused on the well-being of those who enjoy them.
An ideal place to enjoy the sea, go kayaking or snorkelling, or simply relax in front of one of the most impressive landscapes on the Canary Islands coastline.
Ethical Tourism
Enjoy it responsibly and respectfully.
- Before you go, check the sea conditions. The waves can change quickly and affect your safety in the water.
- Do not leave any waste behind. Always pick up your rubbish and help keep this natural environment clean.
- Protect yourself from the sun by avoiding the central hours of the day. Avoid overexposure and stay hydrated during your visit.
- Choose sunscreens that are respectful of the marine environment.
- Do not alter the environment. Do not take stones, plants, or other natural elements.
- Always use the enabled accesses. Avoid walking on slippery or unpaved surfaces.
- Wear appropriate footwear. In summer, rock surfaces and sand can reach very high temperatures.
- If you take photographs, do so from safe locations and without entering sensitive or dangerous areas.
- Maintain a respectful attitude. Avoid noises and behaviours that may disturb other people.
- Remember that you are in a natural environment. Your behaviour also contributes to its conservation and your safety.
