Cherfe Viewpoint
Located in Degollada de Cherfe, on the border between the municipalities of Santiago del Teide and Buenavista del Norte, this natural viewpoint can be easily visited from the town centre of Santiago del Teide.
From here, the view opens up in two directions, revealing the western landscape of the island: on one side, the most recent volcanic landscape, dominated by Teide and Pico Viejo, and the Chinyero Special Nature Reserve, which covers the site of the island’s last volcanic eruption; and on the other, the island’s oldest lava flows, which gave rise to the Teno Massif, featuring deep ravines and the impressive Masca Ravine.
It is a privileged place to enjoy unforgettable sunrises and sunsets, from which you can appreciate the landscape of the summit that combines geological and natural beauty.
