TENERIFE SOUTH AIRPORT (TFS)

It is the closest to our municipality, and the one that connects to most of the international flights. From here, you can reach Santiago de Teide by road in approximately 40 minutes.
TENERIFE NORTH AIRPORT (TNF)
Address: Los Rodeos s/n, 38297, San Cristóbal de La Laguna.
Located in the north of the island, with national flights and connections to the mainland and other islands. The journey to Santiago del Teide takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes by car.
PORT OF LOS CRISTIANOS
Address: Muelle de Pescadores, Puerto de Los Cristianos, 38660, Arona.
With regular connections to La Gomera, El Hierro, and La Palma, it is located about 30 minutes by car from Santiago del Teide.
PORT OF SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE
Address: Avenida Francisco De La Roche 47, 38001, Santa Cruz De Tenerife.
In the north of the island, it concentrates cruise traffic and connects mainly with Gran Canaria and the Iberian Peninsula.
If you are coming from a country outside the European Union, there are some practical things to bear in mind to make your journey even more comfortable:
Make sure you have a valid passport and check whether you need a visa to enter Spain.
It is highly recommended to travel with health insurance to cover any unforeseen events during your stay.
Depending on your operator, roaming charges may apply. Check conditions before you travel or consider purchasing a local SIM card.
In Spain, type C and F plugs are used, with a voltage of 230V. If your devices have different plugs, it’s a good idea to bring an adapter. In many accommodations there are usually some available, but it is always a good idea to come prepared.

If you prefer to move around freely, renting a car is a good option. You will find car hire offices in the centre of Puerto de Santiago, as well as at the airports and seaports.

The official currency in Santiago del Teide, as in the rest of Spain, is the euro (€). Most shops, restaurants, and accommodations accept credit and debit cards without any problem. It is also common to make payments via contactless and mobile devices.
You will find ATMs in the main urban centres of the municipality, as well as banks and bureaux de change in nearby areas.
